Karen Sweeney is a Purchasing & Operations Manager (POM) who works with customers, reps, and vendors to source energy efficient equipment. Karen works with customers to ensure that they are getting the best products for their individual applications, reps to continuously integrate new technologies into Ecosystems’ scope, and vendors to obtain and deliver equipment quickly and reliably.
In her role as the POM, Karen manages Ecosystems’ equipment inventory and all product supply chains. Karen also has pioneered Ecosystem’s benchmarking service and successfully complied to Denver’s Benchmarking Ordinance for many customers.
Karen believes that providing commercial properties with energy efficiency measures brings significant positive impact to communities. Efficient technologies exist, but need to continuously be implemented in-order-to reduce energy consumption, bring economic gains, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Karen has previously worked in research and development of solar thermal and energy storage technologies.
Outside of her work at Ecosystems, Karen is a member of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), a national, nonpartisan group of business owners, investors and others who advocate for policies that are good for the economy and good for the environment.
Karen holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry from Wake Forest University.
