
Andrew Thomaides is the COO of Ecosystems. In his role as COO, Andrew helps manage the day-to-day operations of Ecosystems and works across the organization to cultivate a culture of support and success that drives outstanding service to all of Ecosystem’s clients.
Andrew believes in the power of community, and the importance of the environment, and that is why he chose to get involved in the energy efficiency sector. He believes in being the change one wants to see in the world and by working with businesses large and small to reduce their energy use Andrew gets to realize that change every day.
Over the past 10 years, Andrew has worked with many organizations around the world. His passion for human rights and the environment took him to Greenpeace, where he worked with the fundraising and operations teams. Andrew then worked as the international media coordinator and environmental policy adviser for Miguel Hilario, the first Amazonian to run for the presidency of Peru. After the brief, yet exhilarating ride with Miguel, Andrew reconnected with Dropzone Media where he co-developed a podcast that hit #2 on iTunes “New and Newsworthy” category.
His continued passion for environmental justice and travel took him to Munukuwya, Zambia, where he worked as a Market Development Liaison, for COMACO, building access to markets for hundreds of peasant farmers to increase their incomes. In 2013 Andrew took on a sales role at 20/20 Companies and obtained received the top sales award, but he decided to focus on his life-long dream of building a business that was aligned with his passion for the environment.
Andrew is proud of leading the initiative to get Ecosystems B-Certified and prides himself on involving all employees in giving back to the local community. He is also proud to have helped Ecosystems achieve an important milestone of servicing over 500 clients.
Andrew is a certified Salesforce Administrator and obtained a Business Essentials Certificate from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. He holds a degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, & Government (C.L.E.G) from the School of Public Affairs at American University, in Washington D.C.
